Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
1. Who We Are
GAMEBORN Inc ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is registered at 7755 Center Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our games and services (collectively, the "Services"). This includes our mobile games — such as Escape Tasks, Escape Word: Associations, Mahjong Solitaire, 100 Doors XL, and other titles published by GAMEBORN on Google Play and the App Store — and our PC multiplayer game ONIGOKKO, published on Steam.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Data Collected Automatically
- Device Identifiers: Device ID, Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android), and other device-level identifiers.
- Usage Data: How you interact with our games — levels completed, features used, session duration, in-app actions, and gameplay progress.
- Performance Data: App performance metrics, crash logs, and technical diagnostics.
- Advertising Data: Information about ads you view or interact with in our mobile games.
- Purchase History: Records of in-app or in-game purchases, handled by Apple, Google, or Valve — we only receive confirmation of purchase, never your payment details.
- Technical Information: Device or PC hardware model, operating system version, app version, language settings, time zone, IP address, and network type.
2.2 ONIGOKKO (Steam / PC) Data
ONIGOKKO is a multiplayer game built with Valve's Steamworks SDK. When you play, we receive limited data through Steam to run matchmaking, lobbies, and voice chat:
- Steam Account Identifiers: your SteamID, Steam persona (display) name, and avatar, used to show your name and picture to other players in a match.
- Lobby & Session Data: which lobby or server you join, your role in a round (Ghost or Catcher), and match results, used only to run the game session.
- Voice Chat: if you enable in-game proximity voice chat, your microphone audio is transmitted in real time to nearby players in your match. We do not record, store, or process this audio ourselves — it passes through Steam's voice or our game server transport and is discarded after the session.
ONIGOKKO does not require a separate account — your identity in-game comes entirely from your existing Steam account, governed by Valve's own Privacy Policy.
2.3 Data You Provide
Our games do not require account creation or personal registration beyond the platform you play on (Google, Apple, or Steam). We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information unless you contact us for support.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Game Functionality: to provide core game features, save your progress, run multiplayer sessions, and enable purchases.
- Analytics: to understand how players use our games, improve gameplay, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Advertising: to display relevant ads within our mobile games and measure ad performance. (ONIGOKKO on Steam does not display third-party ads.)
- Performance Optimization: to monitor stability, identify crashes, and improve overall performance.
- Fraud Prevention: to detect and prevent fraudulent activity and cheating, and to ensure fair gameplay.
4. Third-Party Services and SDKs
Our games integrate the following third-party services that may collect and process data:
4.1 Analytics
- Firebase Analytics (Google): usage data, events, and performance metrics for mobile games.
- AppsFlyer: mobile attribution and analytics.
4.2 Advertising (mobile games only)
- Appodeal: advertising mediation platform that displays ads from multiple ad networks in our mobile games.
4.3 Purchases
- Unity IAP Services: handles in-app purchase transactions through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Steam: handles the purchase and licensing of ONIGOKKO through the Steam storefront.
4.4 Multiplayer & Voice (ONIGOKKO)
- Valve Steamworks SDK: authentication, matchmaking, lobbies, friends invites, and voice transport.
These third-party services have their own privacy policies and may process your data under their own terms. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies directly.
5. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS devices, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can allow or deny this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying tracking does not affect core game functionality, but ads may be less relevant.
6. Data Sharing
- Service Providers: analytics, advertising, and technical service providers listed in Section 4.
- Advertising Partners: ad networks that display ads in our mobile games.
- Other Players: in ONIGOKKO, your Steam name, avatar, and voice are visible to other players in your match.
- Legal Requirements: when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Sharing data with advertising partners may, however, constitute a "sale" under certain privacy laws like the CCPA.
7. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to provide our Services. Usage data and analytics are typically retained for up to 2 years. Match/session data for ONIGOKKO is not retained beyond what's needed to run the session. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
8. Children's Privacy
Our games are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
